Šarić and Hezonja headline Croatia’s preliminary squad for Germany matchups

Croatia head coach Tomislav Mijatović has announced a preliminary 24-man roster ahead of the upcoming international window, during which the team will face reigning world and European champions Germany in a two-game series.

One of the most notable inclusions is Dario Šarić, who is currently without an NBA contract and is expected to return from the United States to Croatia with his family in the near future.

Mijatović has also once again called up Luka Šamanić. Meanwhile, Mario Hezonja’s availability for the first game in Zagreb remains uncertain, as Real Madrid is scheduled to play Bayern Munich in the EuroLeague just 24 hours earlier.

The extended roster includes: Roko Badžim, Luka Božić, Danko Branković, Mateo Drežnjak, Goran Filipović, Lovro Gnjidić, Mario Hezonja, Antonio Jordano, Mate Kalajžić, Luka Krajnović, Krešimir Ljubičić, Marin Marić, Dominik Mavra, Lovro Mazalin, Toni Nakić, Ivan Perasović, Roko Prkačin, Krešimir Radovčić, Majkl Ružić, Luka Šamanić, Niko Šare, Dario Šarić, David Škara, and Jaleen Smith.

Germany will first visit Zagreb on Friday, February 28, before hosting Croatia in Bonn on Sunday, March 2. The Croatian squad is scheduled to begin preparations this Sunday.
