French center Maxime Raynaud enjoyed a highly encouraging rookie season in the NBA, establishing himself with the Sacramento Kings after being selected with the 42nd pick in the 2025 Draft.

Despite the team’s struggles, the 23-year-old averaged 12.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists, emerging as one of the standout rookies of the 2025–26 campaign.

Now, Raynaud is eager to carry that momentum into the national team, confirming his availability for France ahead of the upcoming FIBA windows.

I’ve seen Boris (Diaw) several times during the season. The roster hasn’t been announced yet, so I don’t know anything for sure, but it seems like they are considering me for the FIBA windows. I would be very happy to take part. Representing the French national team is a unique opportunity,” Raynaud said per L’Equipe’s Maxime Aubin.

France is set to face Belgium and Finland in July, followed by two more games in August as part of the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, where Raynaud could make his senior national team debut.
