The Polish Basketball Federation has officially announced an expansive 32-man preliminary roster for the first of two FIBA windows during this offseason, a list highlighted by Jeremy Sochan.

The 23-year-old forward, who holds the distinction of being the youngest debutant in the national team’s history, stands out as the focal point of head coach Igor Milicic’s selections. Earlier international experience stems from stints in the EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers and the 2024 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Spain. Following a midseason transition from the San Antonio Spurs to the New York Knicks and limited playing duties during the 2026 NBA Playoffs, presented by Google, the summer windows to resume action in the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers can perhaps offer Sochan an opportunity for significant on-court role before the 2026-27 NBA Regular Season.

The list will be reduced to 15 players by June 8, with the finalized call-ups scheduled to assemble in Krakow on June 22 and begin preparation for the final matches of the first round. While Poland has already comfortably secured advancement to the next stage of the European Qualifiers with a perfect 4-0 record in Group F, results from these upcoming games carry over to Group K and the next FIBA window in August. The team will travel to Vienna to face Austria on July 3, before returning home to host the Netherlands in Krakow on July 6, launching a critical summer push toward the World Cup in Qatar.

Beyond Sochan, other selections include experienced Mateusz Ponitka, Jordan Loyd, and Jerrick Harding, alongside Olek Balcerowski, Aleksander Dziewa, Dominik Olejniczak, Tomasz Gielo, Mikolaj Witlinski, Luke Petrasek, Szymon Zapala, Blazej Kulikowski, Tymoteusz Sternicki, Jakub Urbaniak, Jakub Garbacz, Michal Michalak, Przemyslaw Zolnierewicz, Daniel Golebiowski, Andrzej Pluta, Michal Kolenda, Lukasz Kolenda, Jakub Niziol, Grzegorz Kaminski, Kamil Laczynski, Andrzej Mazurczak, Jakub Schenk, Michal Sokolowski, Jaroslaw Zyskowski, Mateusz Szlachetka, Kuba Pisla, Jakub Szumert, and Igor Milicic Jr.
