Serbia made an important step towards qualifying for the World Cup by defeating Switzerland in Fribourg with a score of 97-73.
Nikola Jokic, who is also the team captain in this international window, had an outstanding performance for Serbia. He finished the game with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists.

After the match, Jokic spoke at the press conference, where he particularly highlighted the great support from Serbian fans in Switzerland.
“We definitely felt like we were playing at home. The atmosphere, the fans, and all the people who came to support us were our sixth player tonight, and we are immensely grateful to them. That’s why we play – to hear our language, our songs, our anthem, to see our flags, and to feel the support of our people. The emotions throughout the game were truly very strong.”
Serbia’s next match will be on Monday in Belgrade, against the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
