Bosnia and Herzegovina held off Italy 78-76 in a dramatic Group J contest of the 2027 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers in Tuzla.
Jusuf Nurkic powered the hosts with 25 points and 14 rebounds in just over 22 minutes. Kenan Kamenjas added 13 points and eight boards, while Amar Alibegovic scored 12.
With Bosnia and Herzegovina trailing 73-72, Alibegovic knocked down a three-pointer with 1:35 remaining to put his team ahead for good. Italy stayed within striking distance but could not complete the comeback.
Nico Mannion and Simone Fontecchio led Italy with 14 points apiece, while Nicolo Melli and Darius Thompson added nine each.
Bosnia and Herzegovina improved to 3-4, while Italy suffered its second defeat and dropped to 5-2.

Cedi Osman scored 22 points in just over 20 minutes as Turkiye remained perfect in Group J with a dominant 94-66 victory over Lithuania in Istanbul.
Omer Yurtseven added 17 points, Sehmus Hazer finished with 10 points and six assists, while Adem Bona contributed six points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Marek Blazevic led the visitors with nine points and 14 rebounds.
