After the decision of Dusan Ivkovic to step down from the Serbian national team, legendary Serbian point guard Sasha Djordjevic is going to be his heir. The news were exclusively reported by “Sportski Zurnal”, the deal is not official yet, but in the next days official announcements are expected as the team has to start preparing for the FIBA World Cup.
Also Panagiotis Giannakis (photo) was called back to China in order to discuss the future plans of the team with the federation. Giannakis will probably have to lead the team in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, as China is considered a lock for one of the wildcards.
