The Croatian preliminary squad for the preparation of World Cup qualifiers in June/July has been revealed by coach Dražen Anzulović.
The practices will begin on June 11 and players from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and the NBA will be part of the team. As coach Anzulovic stated, Croatia has made a wider roster for the practices and the preparation of the games and by June 20 the list will be shortened.
The Croatian national team will travel to Trieste, Italy on June 27 and Cluj, Romania on July 1st to complete the first round of the World Cup qualifiers in two crucial games, that will play a big role in the second round as well. Croatia currently sits last in Group D with a 1-3 record. With two losses, Anzulovic’s team will not be able to qualify for the World Cup.
