Nicolas Batum tells Eurohoops that he’s ready to suit up for the French NT this summer at the FIBA World Cup in China.
“I haven’t talked with the coach yet, but yes [I will suit up]. In the last World Cup, we got good results, we got the bronze and surprised everyone with a young team. Now we have more experience than in the past. We’re excited.”
As for goals, “Les Bleus” want to go as far as they can, Batum mentions. “Top 8, Top 5, easy, when you look around all these teams, US, Spain, Serbia, Greece, Australia, China as the host… It won’t be easy, but it will be a great tournament”.
France has already qualified for the big stage during last summer’s window and faces Finland and the Czech Republic this week.
