C.J. McCollum becomes the fourth Team USA player to skip World Cup

Portland Trail Blazers star C.J. McCollum has withdrawn from participation in the 2019 World Cup. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, McCollum decided to skip the tournament to concentrate on the upcoming season.

McCollum becomes the fourth Team USA player to skip the World Cup after being named to the Team USA preliminary squad after L.A. Lakers’ Anthony Davis and Houston Rockets’ James Harden and Eric Gordon, in that order.

The World Cup would mark McCollum’s debut with his country’s national team.
