Brazil releases World Cup preliminary squad

Brazil head coach Aco Petrovic has invited 15 players for the national team’s training camp ahead of the 2019 World Cup.

The list includes a couple of players that compete in Europe such as veteran guard Marcelinho Huertas, guard Rafa Luz, center Augusto Lima and guard Vitor Benite. Former NBA veterans Leandro Barbosa and Anderson Varejao are also in the roster.

“The Brazilian National Team has always been and will be my priority. I like to represent the National Team; for myself and for my family,” Barbosa had said in an interview with FIBA.

The 15-man roster is as follows:
