Giannis, Printezis lead Greece to win against Turkey

Greece logged another win at the Acropolis Cup after beating Turkey 84-70.

Georgios Printezis led the way with 18 points while Giannis Antetokounmpo followed with an all-around performance of 16 points, ten rebounds and five assists. Georgios Papagiannis added 12 and Nick Calathes 11 points.

For Turkey, Furkan Korkmaz was on fire with 25 points while also adding eight rebounds and five assists. Ersan Ilyasova helped with 16 points.

After the game, Greek coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos admitted that Greece missed injured Kostas Sloukas: “Maybe the players are affected by the fact that Sloukas is missing. We have 15 more days and three games coming up. We hope that Sloukas will be fit to play when he is needed, we will have him in the team in the FIBA World Cup even with a small delay”.

Tomorrow (18/8), Greece will clash with Serbia at 19:30 CET while Turkey will play against Italy at 17:00 CET
