Greece will conclude the series of friendly matches prior to the 2019 FIBA World Cup facing Venezuela on Tuesday. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss the final of the 2019 Suzhou International Basketball Challenge due to knee discomfort, the Greek Basketball Federation announced.
The 24-year-old star of the Milwaukee Bucks is expected to be ready for the World Cup. The rest of the players that made the trip to China will be available versus Venezuela.
Following the last preparation match, Thanasis Skourtopoulos’ side will battle Montenegro, Brazil and New Zealand in first round World Cup action.
