Ricky Rubio scored an international career-high 25 points and dished out eight assists as Spain downed Argentina 84 – 76 in a preparation game before the World Cup. It was the last game for Argentina before the main event, while Spain has to play one more game against Russia.
Luis Scola notched 24 points for Argentina. The losing squad was minus guard Facu Campazzo who is down with an ankle sprain.
For Spain, Willy Hernangomez had 14 points and nine rebounds while Pau Ribas scored 11. Spain was missing Marc Gasol.
Gabriel Deck contributed 16 points plus five rebounds and Nicolas Laprovittola dropped 13 points from Argentina’s side.
