Canada will feature Cory Joseph in the 2019 FIBA World Cup, FOX SPORTS Australia reporter Olgun Uluc confirmed. Head coach Nick Nurse had reassured the 28-year-old point guard would make the trip to China commenting on conflicting reports.

Conor Morgan was also added to the Canadian squad as an injury replacement for Oshae Brissett. Aaron Best and Duane Notice were later cut from the final World Cup roster.

Aside from the last-moment additions, Khem Birch, Melvin Ejim, Brady Heslip, Kaza Kajami-Keane, Owen Klassen, Andrew Nembhard, Kevin Pangos, Philip Scrubb, Thomas Scrubb, and Kyle Wiltjer made the team as it was officially confirmed.

Canada will face Australia on Sunday, follow up with games versus Lithuania and Senegal at Dongguan. Only the top two teams of Group H will advance to the next round, and the other two sides will continue with classification matches.
