Salah Mejri ties World Cup record for most blocks in single game

It’s not easy to get past Salah Mejri and his 2,17m. tall body, let alone score if he doesn’t want you to!

And he proved so in Tunisia’s contest against Angola when he tied Yao Ming’s record for most blocked shots in a single game (8). The Chinese giant held this record since August 30, 2002, in a contest against Algeria in the Indianapolis FIBA World Cup. 17 years and nine days later, Mejri joined him.
