SHENZHEN – Just minutes after the end of the game against the Czech Republic, the Greek federation sent a letter of complaint to FIBA, asking for the ban of the three referees who called the match.

The Greek federation is asking for the dismissal not only of the three referees but also of the person who is responsible for the refereeing assignments of the FIBA World Cup and even the examination of the film of a game and the public announcement of the conclusion.

According to the Greek side, this game can be considered “an unprecedented alteration of result in the annals of European or global basketball.”

Greek coach Thanasis Skourtopoulos also addressed the calls made during the press conference.
