The Greek Federation suspended all competitions under its jurisdiction, including the Greek Cup, Monday.

Under the latest guidelines implemented by the Greek government to prevent further spread of the coronavirus, only professional leagues are cleared to remain active prompting remaining competitions into lockdown.

Accordingly, the top-flight Basket League continues its 2020-21 campaign, already pummeled with various issues. Despite an initial projection for a 16-team field, the season tipped off after a delay with 12 teams. Four games already postponed leaves only eight games played through the first two gamedays.

The eight remaining Greek Cup teams, all Basket League participants, were scheduled for quarterfinals action next weekend. A potential plan to crown a champion may include those eight teams in a Final Eight to be played at a later date.
