Panathinaikos wins the Greek Cup

Panathinaikos OPAP won its 21st Greek Cup title by beating Promitheas Patras in the Final with 91-79 on the scoreboard.

Ioannis Papapetrou was leading the effort with 25 points (five rebounds, four assists) while Mario Hezonja added 18 (six boards, five assists) and Dinos Mitoglou 17 points (six boards, three assists, two blocks, one steal, 28 PIR).

Howard Sant-Roos helped with 16 points while on the opposing side, Gian Clavell put on a 23-point performance. Jerai Grant scored 18 and Jerian Grant 17 points.

PAO was off to a strong start with  18-8 and was keeping the distance, despite some ups and downs, until the fourth quarter when Promitheas had a resurgence.

They made a 9-0 run to cut the gap to just three points (80-77), however, Papapetrou responded with five straight points to push Panathinaikos back up again and seal the deal.
