Dwayne Bacon replaces Marius Grigonis in the Greek Basket League

Dwayne Bacon will make his official debut in the Greek championship against PAOK as he replaced Marius Grigonis, and at the same time, Andrew Andrews has not yet been released.

Panathinaikos has eight non-Greek players on the roster – Lee, Wolters, Ponitka, Bacon, Derrick Williams, Grigonis, Gudaitis, and Andrews – so the seven foreign players regime for the Greek Basket League with six of them available for each game does not apply.

Against the backdrop of the Greek Derby against Olympiacos scheduled on 5/12, Panathinaikos made this change so that Bacon has the right to be used. Andrews remains inactive but with the talks about his release pending, he still occupies a spot on the roster.

In the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Dwayne Bacon has averaged 18.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game with Panathinaikos. He was the MVP of the match against ASVEL, in which he scored 25 points and gave his team the 77-58 win.
