Mitrou-Long granted Greek passport, Petrusev replaces Sikma in domestic competition

Naz Mitrou-Long and Filip Petrusev are set to debut for Olympiacos in the Greek Basket League.

The newly signed guard has officially received the Greek passport, while the Serbian forward will take Luke Sikma’s spot in the roster for the domestic competition ahead of the match against Apollon Patras.

Mitrou-Long will make his debut on Sunday since he received the Greek passport, making him available to play as a Greek in the Basket League.

Petrusev appears to be gradually earning the backup power forward spot behind Alec Peters, as evidenced by Olympiakos’ move to the Basket League and the fact that Luke Sikma didn’t play at all against Virtus Bologna.

The Serbian player has already debuted in the EuroLeague for the Piraeus team, coming from the NBA. Mitrou Long will be available to Georgios Bartzokas in the continental competition from Round 18 since he was hired from another EuroLeague club, Zalgiris.
