Giannakopoulos stated he filed a lawsuit Olympiacos’s GM and presidents

The confrontation between the managements of Panathinaikos and Olympiacos basketball clubs continues following the events of the second final of the Greek League in Piraeus on Sunday.

Dimitris Giannakopoulos posted three Instagram stories on his profile, in which he stated, among other things, that he is filing a lawsuit against Olympiacos’ general manager Nikos Lepeniotis and the club’s presidents, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, accusing them of spreading falsehoods.

Specifically, the owner of Panathinaikos BC said the following:

Now that everything has come to light in the most official way — from the perpetrators themselves, namely Olympiacos BC — let me inform you that the mud they tried to throw will not go unpunished.

Without any shame, Lepeniotis went on national television and claimed that, in the presence of the prosecutor, I said I would r*** Giorgos Angelopoulos’ daughter, while the Angelopoulos brothers stood beside him, repeating what I allegedly said — which will now be refuted by their own videos.

They even uploaded an official video from Olympiacos BC in which everyone is collectively cursing and threatening my daughter, while I am addressing both Lepeniotis and the authorities, saying: ‘Don’t you have children? They are telling me: I will f*** your daughter. Can’t you hear?’

To top it all off, not a single referee or observer recorded any of these vulgar chants in the match report. Not even a warning was given.

The fairy tale of the ‘perpetrator Giannakopoulos,’ supposedly speaking about others’ daughters, has collapsed and will not go unpunished. At this moment, a defamation lawsuit is being filed against both Lepeniotis and the Angelopoulos brothers for their obscene lies, and summary legal proceedings are underway. Moreover, if I learn that they have filed a lawsuit against me for allegedly insulting their daughter, I will in turn file for false accusation. Enough with the myth of the good guys who pretend to be victims while shamelessly fabricating horror stories. Obviously, lawsuits will follow — including against unknown persons who are, in fact, known or will become known.

Of course, my daughter Despina is also proceeding with lawsuits against unknown individuals — who will surely be identified due to named tickets and security cameras — and primarily against Olympiacos BC, which uploaded an official video containing a disgusting chant against her, repeatedly. The club did absolutely nothing to stop it. And now, even the few people who fell victim to this disgraceful misinformation have seen the truth and know better.”
