Opening Greece’s Stoiximan GBL campaign, Panathinaikos Aktor beat PAOK, 93-83, in Telekom Center Athens. Konstantinos Mitoglou stood out with 22 points behind 8/9 field goals. In Round 1 of the 2025-26 Regular Season, Ergin Ataman served a one-game suspension stemming from last season, with lead assistant Christos Serelis taking over head-coaching duties. From his squad, Mathias Lessort, Cedi Osman, Kostas Sloukas, and Omer Yurtseven did not suit up on Sunday.
Earlier, Olympiacos earned an away win, 100-81, over Maroussi. Five players made double-digit scoring contributions for the team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas, including Sasha Vezenkov, tallying 15 points, and Tyson Ward, with 14 points. Frank Ntilikina’s debut amounted to 12 points, four assists, and three rebounds over 20 minutes. Keenan Evans, Moustapha Fall, Evan Fournier, Shaquielle McKissic, and Omiros Netzipoglou were left out of the lineup for various reasons.
On Saturday, AEK, Karditsa Iaponiki, Peristeri, and Iraklis went up to 1-0.

Next Sunday, the rivals will clash in SEF, in Round 2 of the GBL.
