Panathinaikos collected their 10th win of the Stoiximan GBL with a 99–89 road victory over Maroussi and now turn full attention to the upcoming EuroLeague showdown against Olympiacos.

Even without Cedi Osman, Kenneth Faried and Kostas Sloukas, the Greens controlled the game.

Omer Yurtseven (15 points, 5 rebounds) and TJ Shorts (15 points, 7 assists) led the way, while Richaun Holmes, Nikos Rogkavopoulos, Kendrick Nunn and Dinos Mitoglou added 14 points apiece.

Panathinaikos built an early cushion by capitalizing on transition opportunities and Maroussi’s mistakes, reaching 55 points by halftime. Although defensive lapses allowed the hosts to trim the deficit before the break, the visitors reasserted control after halftime, stretching the lead beyond 20 points.

With Ergin Ataman managing minutes ahead of Thursday’s derby at OAKA, Panathinaikos eased off late, allowing Maroussi to reduce the margin, but never seriously threatened in the closing stages.
