Olympiacos moved past AEK Athens in the quarterfinals and then clashed with Maroussi in the semis, but once again Georgios Bartzokas’ team proved too strong for its domestic opponent.
The Piraeus side cruised to a 91–67 victory and booked a place in yet another Greek Cup final.
Olympiacos had all 12 players enter the scoring column, with Sasha Vezenkov leading the way with 16 points. Kostas Papanikolaou added 12, Monte Morris finished with 11 and four assists, while Donta Hall chipped in 10 points.
It’s worth noting that Morris returned to the court after recovering from injury and had a solid outing, while Nikola Milutinov suffered a thumb injury in the second half and did not return. Further tests will be conducted after the match to evaluate his availability for the final.
On the other side, Ioannis Kouzeloglou and Maxim Salash scored 12 points each.
Panathinaikos joined their archrivals in another Greek Cup final after cruising past Iraklis in the semifinals, 91–61.
It was another team effort from Ergin Ataman’s side, which recorded 25 assists and saw all 12 players enter the scoring column.
TJ Shorts led the way with 13 points, Nikos Rogkavopoulos added 11, while Dinos Mitoglou chipped in 10. Nigel Hayes-Davis had nine points in his second appearance in the green jersey, along with four rebounds and two assists in fewer than 14 minutes of play.
On the other side, Chris Smith scored 14 points, Josiah Strong added 11, while Dimitris Moraitis and Zaccheus Darko-Kelly followed with 10 points each.
