Iraklis defeats Panathinaikos after coming back from -21

By Eurohoops team/ irammas@eurohoops.net

Panathinaikos’ poor run of form is not limited only to the EuroLeague, as Ergin Ataman’s team is also losing games in the Greek league.

Panathinaikos fell 76-74 in their away game against Iraklis (8–10) and now hold a 15–4 record in the domestic competition.

If the defeat is already tough because of the opponent, it is even more painful because of how the game unfolded: Ataman’s side wasted a maximum 21-point lead (29–50) in the third quarter and an 11-point lead (52–63) in the final quarter.

Kendrick Nunn was the best player for the visitors with 21 points, while Justin Edler-Davis led the home team with 20 points, the last two at the buzzer to give his team an historic win.
