AEK Athens became the fourth team to advance in the Greek Cup semifinals, after Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and Aris Thessaloniki, by overpowering Koroivos Amaliadas 98 – 57.

The last time that AEK had gone that far in the competition was eleven years ago, in 2005 when they had defeated Ionikos Lamias.

The match against Koroivos, provided a great opportunity for some of the team’s youngsters like 19-year old Dionisis Skoulidas (11 points) to spend an increased playing time on court to show their skills. Mike Dixon (20 points) and Jaward Williams (12 points) and Roko Leni Ukic (10 points) were among the best performers for the winning side.

Josh Richard was the top scorer of Koroivos with 12 points.
