The Basketball Champions League champion played against Panathinaikos; a team that could possibly play in the BCL next season, but got blown out 115 – 85.

Since the start, the hosts had control of the game with Nick Calathes distributing the offense and making impressive plays, either with his assists or his finishing ability. At the half, the ‘Greens’ had a 13-point lead (51-38), but this lead even grew to 20+ points (83-59).

From that point, AEK could not come back, and Pascual’s team kept pouring on, shooting an incredible 63.8% from the field (46/72). What’s also significant to note is that the visitors had 23 turnovers, while the hosts had 24 assists.

Panathinaikos had six players in double-figures as Lukas Lekavicius led the way with 17 points and six assists, while ten of the twelve players scored. For AEK, Dusan Sakota finished with 15.

On Wednesday, Olympiacos got past Faros, thanks to Bobby Brown’s impressive performance, while Aris also got past Rethymno easily at home. Promitheas Patras also got an important win at home against Lavrio to finish at the top-4, while PAOK defeated Panionos on the road.

One more round of regular season games remain until the Greek League playoffs tip-off, and Panathinaikos is still undefeated (25-0).
