The game between Peristeri and Aris for Round 19 of the Greek league stopped at the 33rd minute when the fans of the two teams engaged in a physical fight up in the stands.

Before police intervened to put an end to the fight of the fans, Peristeri forward Panagiotis Vassilopoulos approached the stands to ease the situation.

In the end, the fans exited the arena and the game started again, as opposed to a similar occurrence between fans of the two teams during the 2012-13 season when the arena had to be completely evacuated.

For the record, the game ended in Peristeri’s favor, as the team got an 81-61 victory over the Northern Greek team.
