Greek authorities have identified five of the nearly 100 hooligans that attacked the house of Greek referee Panagiotis Anastopoulos Tuesday (7/5). This attack is different than the one where Molotov bombs were thrown at Anastopoulos’ house.

The investigation that was launched by the Subdepartment Against Violence in Sports Grounds identified these five people as fans of Olympiacos. The five fans are expected to be prosecuted within the following hours.

The attack at Anastopoulos’ house took place following his assignment to officiate the Greek League game between Olympiacos and Promitheas Patras. Olympiacos had previously stated that the team won’t participate in any game that is officiated by Anastopoulos, following the Greek Cup semifinal vs. Panathinaikos that was forfeited by the “Reds” at halftime.

Anastopoulos didn’t officiate in the Olympiacos – Promitheas match due to an “impediment.”
