It has been 679 days since Sofoklis Schortsanitis played an official basketball game but he finally stepped on the floor, today (November 16), against his former club Panathinaikos.
The last game he played before tonight was in January 2018 for Trikala. The 34-year-old big joined Ionikos this summer and has managed score one point in the first half of the ongoing game vs. Panathinaikos.
Throughout his career, Schortsanitis has played for such teams as Olympiacos, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Panathinaikos and Crvena Zvezda. He won the 2014 EuroLeague title with Maccabi.
