Virtus Bologna will enter the Italian Serie A playoffs as the number one seed after beating Trapani 101–96 in overtime.
Duško Ivanović’s team finished the regular season with a 23–7 record, edging out Trapani, Brescia, and Trento, who all ended at 22–8.
Will Clyburn led Virtus with 28 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Isaïa Cordinier added 16, while Matt Morgan and Ante Žižić scored 12 each.
For Trapani, Paul Eboua and Justin Robinson each had 21 points. Langston Galloway finished with 13, and Amar Alibegović scored 10.
Olimpia Milano also closed the regular season with a win, beating Scafati 100–72 at home to secure the fifth seed. Josh Nebo led the way with 12 points and nine rebounds, while five other players scored in double figures.
