There was a game missing in Italy’s Serie A.

And Virtus Bologna had no problem getting another win to stay at the top.

The team coached by Dusko Ivanovic easily defeated Treviso 79-101.

After a rough game in Palau Blaugrana against Barça, Derrick Alston Jr. had one of his best games as a Virtus player and finished with 25 points and 4 rebounds. Carsen Edwards added 15 points.

Osvaldas Olisevicius (15 p.), Cruise Pinkins (15 p.), and David Torresani (12 p.) were the home team’s top scorers.

After a close first half (45-51), Virtus wanted to secure the win as soon as possible, and they did that in the third quarter with a defensive masterpiece.

The away team conceded only 9 points in 10 minutes, increasing the lead to a comfortable double-digit lead and making the fourth quarter a mere formality.

After the games of Round 8 last weekend, all Serie A teams have played every round.
