Olimpia Milano survives Trieste scare in Italian League opener

Olimpia Milano bounced back from its EuroLeague loss to Partizan by edging Trieste 83-79 in its Italian League opener.

Trieste kept the game close for most of the night, but Peppe Poeta’s team took control in the fourth quarter and held on through a tense finish.

Jason Burnell led the winners with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Moses Wright added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Leandro Bolmaro and RJ Cole scored 11 apiece.

Colbey Ross paced Trieste with 17 points and seven assists, while Langston Galloway contributed 14 points and six rebounds.
