Milos Teododic was planned to make his return with the Serbian national team in the upcoming 2021 EuroBasket Qualifiers games against Finland and Georgia on February 21 and 23 respectively. However, the captain of the “Orlovi” is expected to not travel to Finland and it remains questionable if he’ll play vs. Georgia.

“There was a problem with the insurance for Teodosic,” Serbian Federation president Predrag Danilovic said per Sportska Centrala. “Without going into details, in two days, at the latest, we will know whether or not he’ll be in the lineup.” Teodosic wasn’t present at the first gathering of the Serbian national team players in Belgrade.

Earlier on Monday, it was reported by various Italian media that Virtus Bologna has consulted with the staff of the Serbian national team and it was agreed that Teodosic should miss the trip to Finland and be available only for the game against Georgia.

Teodosic was a major absence of Serbia in the 2019 FIBA World Cup. He was forced to miss the tournament due to a knee injury.
