The final agreement between Dimitris Itoudis and the Greek national team could be a matter of hours. Greek Basketball Federation President Vangelis Liolios has traveled to Moscow to meet with the CSKA Moscow executives and members of the Russian Ministry of Defense, where the team belongs, according to Eurohoops sources.

Liolios’ trip to Moscow coincides with Thursday’s EuroLeague matchup of CSKA against Greek side Panathinaikos OPAP Athens (18:00 CET).

The Greek Federation President has confirmed in September that the CSKA boss was his choice for the Greek NT for the upcoming EuroBasket, and there also is willingness for co-operation from Itoudis’ side. However, for this to happen, the Russian club must also give its approval.

CSKA President Andrei Vatutin has denied reports of an agreement shortly after Liolios’ statement and now all parties involved will work together to reach a solution.
