Ignas Brazdeikis included in Lithuania’s 15-man roster for World Cup qualifiers

The Lithuanian Basketball Federation announced Friday the 15 players who have been named into Kazys Maksytis’ squad for the upcoming June-July FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

Although the Lithuanian selection will lack NBA stars Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis, Orlando Magic forward Ignas Brazdeikis is featured in the selection.

Brazdeikis, 23, finished the season with the Orlando Magic with an average of 5.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.9 assists across 42 games and he will head back to Lithuania next week to be incorporated into the Lithuanian NT’s preparations.

Lithuania’s 15-man squad for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers:

Arnas Velicka, Arnoldas Kulboka, Donatas Sabeckis, Eigirdas Zukauskas, Gytis Masiulis, Gytis Radzevicius, Ignas Brazdeikis, Karolis Lukosiunas, Laurynas Birutis, Marius Grigonis, Martynas Echodas, Regimantas Miniotas, Tadas Sedekerskis, Tomas Dimsa, and Vytenis Cizauskas.

Lithuania will face Bulgaria on the road on July 1, and host the Czech Republic on July 4, for the finale of the first round of the European Qualifiers.
