The FIBA World Cup June-July qualifiers are approaching and Svetislav Pesic is setting up his list of players to compete for Serbia’s two upcoming fixtures against Latvia (June 30) and Belgium (July 3).

As reported by Mozzart Sport’s Djordje Matic and Nikola Stojkovic, Nikola Kalinic is doubtful to join the selection, though Nemanja Bjelica, who just ended the season as a champion with the Golden State Warriors, could be among Pesic’s 12-man squad. Per the report, Bjelica has committed to Pesic to join the Serbian NT once he returns to Belgrade.

Dejan Davidovic is also among the players who will make their appearance in the qualifiers, and the status of Milos Teodosic is pending.

So far, it’s been confirmed that the Serbian NT will lack Bogdan Bogdanovic who recently underwent surgery. Per Mozzart Sport, Vladimir Lucic, Ognjen Dobric, and Alen Smailagic are also out of the selection for the upcoming games against Latvia and Belgium.

NBA MVP Nikola Jokic has committed to join the selection, though he is expected to skip the approaching qualifiers window, in order to join the team for the September EuroBasket.
