Greece announces preliminary roster for Eurobasket, World Cup Qualifiers

The Greek national team will have 23 players available on the preliminary roster for the 2022 EuroBasket and 2023 World Cup Qualifiers, per the Greek Basketball Federation.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP and 2021 champion with the Milwaukee Bucks, is officially confirmed to make his return to the national team after the 2019 World Cup. His brothers Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Alex Antetokounmpo are also named to the roster.

Other prominent names of the squad include Nick Calathes, Kostas Sloukas, Ioannis Papapetrou, Kostas Papanikolaou, George Papagiannis and newly acquired Dallas Mavericks guard Tyler Dorsey who will be debuting with the Greek national team in a major summer tournament after previously playing in the 2016 Olympic Qualifiers.
