Hungary prevails over Georgia in their first tune-up game

Hungary got an 89-88 win over Georgia thanks to a 7-2 run in the closing minutes. David Vojvoda with 17 points was the leading scorer of the winning side, while Adam Hang added 13 points.

For the losing side, the duo of Toko Shengelia and Georgi Shermandini had 19 and 18 points respectively.

Georgia will host the Eurobasket Group A in Tbilisi, including Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Montenegro, and Bulgaria.

Hungary is part of Group B in Cologne, Germany. Nicknamed already the “Group of Death”, it includes Germany, France, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Bosnia.

In the other prep game of the night, Montenegro without Nikola Vucevic got the 76-67 win over the Netherlands behind 20 points by naturalized Jonah Radebaugh.
