Nikolic leads Slovenia in win over Ukraine

One day after the remarkable game against Turkey, both Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic got rested. So, Aleksej Nikolic took over and led Slovenia to the 86-82 win.

With the score tied at 76, Jaka Blazic made a big three to break the tie, and then Nikolic with five straight points gave to his team an 84-76 lead.

Blazic sealed the deal with two free throws, having in total 13 points. Nikolic and Zoran Dragic also scored 13 points each.

Ukraine was also missing Svi Mykhailiuk and Volodymyr Gerun. On the contrary, Sacramento Kings’ Alex Len played for the first time this summer with the team and scored 15 points.

Issuf Sanon with 18 was the top scorer of the losing side.
