Doncic and Jokic put on a show in Ljubljana as Slovenia wins

Slovenia got the 97-92 overtime win after a preparation game that will be remembered as the duel of Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic.

The star of the hosts scored 34 points and dished nine assists, while the Joker responded with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists. However, both couldn’t win the game in regulation.

Doncic gave Slovenia a 86-85 lead with 39 seconds left with two free throws, Jokic made one out of two (86-86) and Doncic missed at the buzzer.

The game went into very tense overtime with Vlatko Cancar giving to the hosts a 94-92 lead with 54 seconds left. Serbia couldn’t score after that and Klemen Prepelic with two free throws sealed the deal.

Prepelic and Mike Tobey added 16 points each for the winners, while Vasilje Micic added 17 points and eight assists for Serbia.

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic and Eurobasket champion with Slovenia Anthony Randolph attended the game, while the Slovenian federation honored former players Bostjan Nachbar and Erazem Lorbek.
