As Adrian Wojnarowski reports, team USA will play 6 games under the guidance of Van Gundy, beginning on November 23 against Puerto Rico and ending against Cuba on July 1 of next year.

Provided the U.S. qualifies, it will then play at the 2019 World Cup in China with Gregg Popovich in the head coach position, who has been selected to succeed Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski as head of the men’s senior team.

Team USA has won the past two World Cups, in 2010 and 2014.
