Turkey head coach Ufuk Sarica signed a contract extension with the country’s Basketball Federation to remain the head coach until 2021 and including the EuroBasket of that year.
The news was announced by Turkish Basketball Federation president Hedo Turkoglu on Twitter.
Sarica has been the head coach of the Turkish national team since the EuroBasket 2017. He was previously an assistant under Ergin Ataman.
Turkey will participate in the Olympic Qualifiers Tournament of Victoria, Canada. The team was seeded in Group B and will face Uruguay and Czech Republic. Group A has Greece, China and host Canada.
Sarica is currently also the head coach of Turkish League club Pinar Karsiyaka.
