LeBron James weighed-in his three-point attempt, accepted a bet from the Los Angeles Lakers bench and Dennis Schroder and dialed in his shot in just a matter of seconds. His teammates were simply overwhelmed.
“I told him to bet a Benjamin on it, so he shot it,” explained Schroder following Tuesday’s win against the Houston Rockets. “He shot it and turned around and said, ‘Bet.’ Then, it went in. It’s just legendary.”
The Lakers were riding a comfortable lead en route to blowing out their opponents.
“I took the bet while I was still shooting the ball,” said James, “A bet isn’t official until you look a man in the eye, so I had to look him into the eye, and I was able to win that.”
