New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday will stay indefinitely out of action with his team, deciding to take care of his pregnant wife Laurie who was diagnosed with an operable brain tumor.
Laurie Holiday, an ex professional football player, had complained for some massive headaches which were proven to be the result of a tumor. She will undergo surgery but it will have to wait after her child is born.
The baby is totally healthy, as Jrue Holiday confirmed. Talking about his wife’s condition in Nola.com, he said: “She’s obviously a fighter, the toughest woman I know. That’s the reason why I married her”.
He also asked for fans of the Pelicans to pray for his family. “We just ask for your prayers, really pray for my family,” Jrue said. “We can take all the prayers that we can get.”
