Bogdan Bogdanovic discusses the summer World Cup windows and his upcoming absence from the NT with Basketball Sphere: “This is the first summer that I won’t be able to help my NT. I would like to go to the NBA a bit earlier and use this time to get the maximum for the season. About the injury, I’m recovering, I’m out of shape but I’ve started training”.

Bogdanovic’ start in the NBA wasn’t ideal, though as the time kept rolling, he found his way to NBA All-Rookie Second Team.

“Initially, I felt tired of the previous season and the national team. It took me time to get used to this rhythm. You play practically day by day, only a little time to relax, almost everything is done through the matches, not through training. However, when I entered the right pace it was better, I am generally satisfied with how it was, but there is still room for improvement”, the 25-year-old guard explains.

Bogdanovic was called to compare the NBA and European basketball: “The difference is in physics and quality. It was a surprise to me because I thought the difference between the stronger and the weaker teams was bigger, and it’s not. Simply, the season is long and there are many factors that affect the game. They have done too well this system, they have the cooperation between the owners of the clubs, the league, the basketball players, is really perfect”, he mentions.
