The first non-North American born-and-raised head coach in NBA history, Igor Kokoskov, was recently interviewed by the Memphis Grizzlies per ESPN’s Tim Bontemps. The 47-year-old Serbian was fired last month after one season with the Phoenix Suns, but is right back in the hunt for a head coaching gig in the NBA.

Sarunas Jasikevicius is among the other reported candidates to fill the void at the Grizzlies. Utah Jazz assistant Alex Jensen and Golden State Warriors assistant Jarron Collins are among those previously interviewed by the Memphis organization.

The Grizzlies are searching for a new head coach after dismissing J.B. Bickerstaff in April. Apart from their search, they possess the second pick in the upcoming NBA draft and are expected to select Ja Morant.
