Nigel Williams-Goss is signing with the Utah Jazz a three-year contract, sources told Eurohoops. The former Gonzaga player has a guaranteed contract for next season with Olympiacos which includes only an NBA opt-out clause.

The Greek club is going to receive $1 million as buyout to release the player.

Williams-Goss was the 55th pick of the 2017 NBA draft after leaving Gonzaga to the NCAA final and this is the first chance that he will get to play in the NBA.

After turning pro with Partizan and winning the Serbian Cup in the 2017-18 season, Williams-Goss averaged 9.2 ppg, 4.2 apg, and 2 rpg in his first EuroLeague season being coached by David Blatt during the 2018-19 season in Olympiacos.

It was a season with ups and downs, but Williams-Goss’ flashes of talent, which were monitored throughout the season by the Jazz were enough in order to give him his first NBA contract.
