The French Federation of Basketball, FFBB, announced on Thursday contract extensions including Vincent Collet remaining at the helm of France’s senior national team.

The 57-year-old French head coach will retain his position through next summer and the Olympic Games moved to 2021, in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

GM Patrick Beesley and assistant Boris Diaw remain as well, FFBB adds in its press release.

France qualified for the Olympic Games by landing third place in the 2019 FIBA World Cup. Apart from the World Cup bronze medalists, Japan, Spain, Argentina, Australia, USA, Nigeria, and Iran punched in their tickets. The remaining berths will be determined by the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments.
