Greece launches training camp with Spanoulis and K. Antetokounmpo in the initial list

Vassilis Spanoulis has been officially named to the list of players called up by Greece for the training camp ahead of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. He was expected to make his return to the national team after his last appearance dating back to 2015.

Kostas Antetokounmpo of the Los Angeles Lakers, currently attending to a personal matter in Greece, will also be available, as announced by the Greek Federation on Tuesday.

Ioannis Athinaiou, Vassilis Charalampopoulos, Nikos Chougkaz, Vassilis Kavvadas, Giannoulis Larentzakis, Kostas Papadakis, Giorgos Printezis, Nikos Rogkavopoulos, Christos Saloustros, and Kostas Sloukas round up the list.

The players named will start the training camp under the guidance of Rick Pitino tomorrow, Wednesday. However, more players can be added following the conclusion of the Greek league playoffs.

After the practices and prep games, the Greek national team will be heading to Victoria, Canada. The Olympic Qualifying Tournament granting one spot in the Olympic Games includes Canada, China, Czech Republic, Turkey, and Uruguay, besides Greece.
